Azis Arjoso: Returning to the Pure 1945 Constitution Means Straightening the Derailed Track of the Nation

JAKARTA - Support for returning to the pure and consistent 1945 Constitution (UUD 1945) continues to grow stronger. The son of constitutional fighter, Azis Arjoso, affirmed that his father's struggle, Amin Arjoso, is about the truth of the nation's track and direction.

 

According to Azis, running a state is like a train. The original 1945 Constitution is the RAIL, and Pancasila is its compass. If the rail is bent or replaced without a legitimate procedure, the train named Indonesia will surely derail.

 

"This is what happened with the 2002 Constitution. The original rail of this nation was dismantled manipulatively by the MPR 1999-2004 under the pretext of amendments. Whereas the Presidential Decree of July 5, 1959, which restored us to the pure 1945 Constitution, has never been revoked. Therefore, legally, the 2002 Constitution is LEGALLY DEFECTIVE," asserted Azis Arjoso, son of Amin Arjoso and also co-author of the book "The Thought and Struggle of Amin Arjoso Upholding the '45 Constitution Again" (Yayasan Kepada Bangsaku).

 

Azis Arjoso elaborated on the 3 Truths of the Nation's Track Direction according to his father's struggle book:

 

1. THE MAIN RAIL: The Original 1945 Constitution is the Rail of Salvation

This rail was built by the nation's founders with the spirit of kinship and mutual cooperation. As long as it was on this rail, Indonesia was solid and sovereign. When the rail was replaced with the liberal, individualistic, and pro-foreign 2002 Constitution, the nation's train began to wobble.

 

2. THE DERAILED TRACK: Evidence that the Train Has Gone Off Track

 

The evidence today: the economic gap is widening, the sovereignty of natural resources is being pawned, democracy has become expensive and transactional, and unity is weakening. This is characteristic of a train that has gone off the track of Pancasila and the pure 1945 Constitution.

 

3. THE FIRM SOLUTION: Return the Train to its Original Track, Perfect it with an Addendum

"Do not fix a derailed train on the wrong track. First return the train to the RIGHT TRACK, namely the pure 1945 Constitution, and then perfect it with an addendum according to the needs of the times. That is a SMART and WITH INTEGRITY conception," he explained.

 

Azis emphasized that this struggle is not nostalgia, but a total correction to save the nation's journey.

 

"If the rail is straightened again, then all the carriages - economy, politics, law, social - will run FIRMLY, DIRECTLY, and COMPLETELY towards the goal of independence. This is the truth of the nation's direction fought for by Mr. Amin Arjoso, and we must continue it. ALLAHU AKBAR!" concluded Azis Arjoso.
